Human is a poem book that describes mood in the words of regular people. Mood is a very difficult thing to define because of its subjectivity. Human takes on this challenge by showcasing definitions of the different moods written by various people, as well as the expression of these moods through poems uploaded onto the web by amateur writers. The purpose of the book is to evoke some kind of feeling within its readers, as life can feel dull due to quarantine. In short, its purpose is to aid its readers to simply feel. Feel human.
Mood is felt and expressed differently by every individual. Human captures this by showcasing the thoughts of anonymous writers when prompted with certain moods. Feeling sad or happy can mean different things to different people. Human comforts its readers by showing the various definitions that people come up with for the same mood to prove that feeling in your own way is completely valid.
Mood is also felt and expressed differently. What you express is often only a small portion of what you are actually feeling. This is shown through the imagery by layering certain areas on top of the bigger picture.
