Getaway Candles is a luxury DIY Candle Kit equipped with all the essential tools and materials needed to make your own scented organic candle wax. Getaway’s wax is made of a 100% natural blend of coconut and soy; it’s sustainable, clean-burning and better for you. The kit comes with detailed step-by-step instructions located on the inside wall of the package. In the kit, you will find everything you need: two wax packets, two crystal jars, two bottles of fragrance, one metal steering spoon, two warning stickers with burning instructions, two pure cotton wicks, two metal wick holders, and finally, one metal boiler. The package’s second life could be used as a storage container to store miscellaneous items such as jewelry or makeup.
Inspiration
Getaway Candle is a brand inspired by the pandemic; when many of our days are spent indoors, the feeling of stagnancy can negatively impact us as it can feel so inescapable. Getaway hopes to serve as an escape for many people as we move through the hardship of the pandemic; our scented candles are a tool that can help bring us to a place that feels like home. From making the candle to the wick’s lighting, I hope it serves as a fun diversion from day-to-day hardships. Getaway Candles take the time to add something unique and atmospheric to your daily living and brighten your days inside.
The Package Construction
Luxury PR mailer packages influence the package design, often very extravagant, unique and contain several products. Getaway Candle’s result is a three-tiered triangular box with a gate opening. The package’s entirety is constructed from illustration boards to create the most robust material and wrapped in elegant gradient paper with branding on top. The package is built along with one continuous piece of backing separating into three segments, folded open and closed. The box opens at one corner and stands completely upright, allowing the user to browse the contents, which sit on three trays at different levels.
