EyeAssist Overview
EyeAssist is a browser-based extension that uses a user's existing hardware to track their eyes in order to scroll or use a cursor. This allows for expanded web accessibility, as well as to create better workflows for everyday users!
Accessibility
EyeAssist allows users to control their browser using nothing but their eyes to either scroll or use their cursor. For advanced accessibility use, users can also remap their left click to any input button that is most accessible for them. This feature allows for web accessibility that was previously not possible, or had a high cost of entry.
Enhanced Workflow
This product allows for users to be more efficient in their work; they can scroll a page without needing to remove their hands from their keyboard. This helps both efficiency and also removes the distraction of checking other tabs or programs while switching over.
Calibration
Using the user's webcam, EyeAssist maps the user's eyes as they calibrate to their device. This allows for the best possible tracking in order to ensure a smooth experience, and should only need to be calibrated on the first use, as their eye profile will be saved, making it a seamless, one-click experience to get started.
