The Problem and Solution
The problem then... is there is a huge skincare issue in Vietnam and many individuals do not know how to combat the dangerous sun. Most individuals equate luxury to results. Many Vietnamese women source their skincare to other countries. By creating a product specifically for Vietnamese women in the environment they live in, the proposed product not only caters to the community but creates a meaningful change in their health.
Design Rationale
Introducing Cover Yourself -Che Ðậy Bản Thân, a luxury spa line that rejuvenates the body from everyday labour. Each container contains four different masks that target the face, hands, body and feet to heal the everyday consumer through holistic spa therapy. This line of products is specifically designed for the Vietnamese everyday lady whether she is a farmworker, corporate worker, schoolgirl or market lady.
The Packaging
There are three variations of the container to indicate different skin types. Blue indicates oily skin, red indicates dry skin and yellow indicates combination skin, creating a visually personal experience to the consumer. Bright colors allow the aesthetic of something fun and playful. Each tube is covered with a sleek sleeve with important information and branding on the outside and informational graphics on the inside to avoid an overload of information during the POS.
The Typography
Both of the display and body text are specifically compatible with Vietnamese characters and as a font pair, function extremely well together. By using the type as a functional tool to the product, the colors and design elements make up for the aesthetic of the product. The individuality of each tube given with tailored information of each container, creates a well-rounded product that will successfully appeal to the intended consumer.
